1. What qualities does H&M look for in suppliers?

2. What is a Dun & Bradstreet (DUNS) Number?  
A DUNS number is a nine-digit number issued by Dun & Bradstreet, Inc. to identify each corporate location of a business. Most companies already have a DUNS number. You can find yours on the Dun & Bradstreet website at If you do not yet have a DUNS number, D&B will provide you one at no cost. 

3. What is the next step after I register?  
Make sure to fill out the entire Basic Profile form. Failure to do so may limit your ability to receive bids and proposals. Once you have registered and your information is verified, your profile will be available to all of our procurement professionals nationwide.

Due to the volume of inquires we receive, you will NOT be contacted until a purchasing professional matches one of our current needs with your offerings. Remember to login and check your profile after registering for any inaccuracies or omissions. You may also attach your company's brochures or other marketing material. 

4. What if I am already a supplier?
Please ensure your data is correct and up-to-date. This is a national database, and it is important that your supplier profile is accurate so projects and/or regions and/or lines of business within H&M that may not be familiar with your company are presented with the best information.

5. How can I get in touch with a purchasing or sourcing manager to discuss a product or service my company offers?
Due to the large volume of inquiries we receive, we do not provide direct phone numbers or email addresses of our purchasing organization. If you have a product or service you would like to introduce to H&M, please register with us and include any relevant brochures or attachments. When your registration is complete, your company information will be made available to all procurement professionals within H&M.

6. I am a certified minority-owned, women-owned, or disabled veteran owned supplier. How can I do business with H&M?
All prospective suppliers use the same process to register with H&M. The registration form captures diversity status and the information is made available to our supplier diversity and procurement teams. Please be sure to attach any relevant certifications.

7. If I am a Small Business, do I have to be certified to do business with H&M?
No, however you may not be eligible to claim various small business subcategories without having proper certification.

8. What are some things that can keep me from registering?
In order to submit your information, you must fill out all required questions. In order to register, you must supply goods and services that H&M procures.

9. I am a current supplier for H&M and I received a request asking me to fill out or update my supplier registration profile. Why am I being asked to do this?
If you currently work with H&M, we will periodically ask you to verify your company's profile for the most up-to-date information.

10. Can other registered businesses look at my company data?
No, all information is secure and is only available to the H&M buyers.

11. What do I do if I tried registering and my company is already registered?
Please contact the person who registered your company and have them add your contact information as a contact to your company profile.

12. If the primary contact for my company is no longer employed by us, what should I do?
Please send an email to to have H&M update your profile and send you a new login and password.
